Welcome

Stillwater Church is located just a few miles north of Mobile, Alabama. We are People Helping People Love and Serve Jesus. We seek to embrace our community to extend the kingdom of Heaven for God’s glory. We pursue strong, faith-based, authentic relationships and have a heart of service for our community. We are more than a church. We are a family. For years we have sought to develop lifelong friendships, deeply rooted in our shared love of Jesus Christ.

The name, Stillwater, chosen by our church family reflects God’s promise to “lead us beside still water” (Psalm 23). This amazing promise does not refer to the water itself that is still. Rather, this Psalm refers to peace and stillness that happens in our hearts when we let God lead us. God is our shepherd, who leads us into complete peace.

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
